I have one exam left before this hellish semester mercifully ends. Hopefully, I will get at least a D in everything. I have all but abandoned any effort to working on my GPA. Seems that my pitch to potential employers will be based on my work experience rather than my scholastic accolades. That's cool.
What a crazy year it has been! Lots of things have been checked off my list, and I am looking forward to a return to my pinnacle of accompllishments circa 2001. It's been a fun "break" so to speak, and I think there is a lot of value in what I have been doing the past two years. Now, its about so much more than gaining back something I felt I had lost when I was 20.
Upcoming Changes
- Finding a job in the PR/Marketing field in NYC
- Moving away from here and to NYC
- Moving to a place where all the small* successes I've had here can be magnified and rewarded as they should be
- I am cutting out Typepad and the associated cost in favor of streamlining my online self. This means more involvement with Google. This means a return to blogger, which is free and now has a lot of the features they were missing when I chose to leave. No need to update your links, I will be moving my domain to the new site within the next 6 days (for that is when Typepad will be shutting down this site.)
- I have been a long-time dissident of MySpace and Facebook. But, if I am going to try and make money using these forums for career purposes, then I feel I need to get good at them. I will still avoid any sort of "pimping" service though. If you get a request from me, then go ahead and add me as a friend.
- It appears that I will not be leaving Carrboro until I leave the state (or at least with a minimal swing stay in Angier or North Raleigh on my way out. That means commuting five days a week, which will be expensive if gas gets any pricier.
